Mr. Amanuel Hadera is an experienced development professional with a career spanning over three decades, focusing on rural development, climate change, and food security. Since 2013, he has served as a Program Manager at DVV International East Africa Regional Office in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, where he leads the design and implementation of smallholder livelihood programs. He has a strong background in policy assessment, capacity building, and monitoring and evaluation. His roles have included senior positions such as M&E and Capacity Building Consultant, Senior Livelihoods Officer, and Regional Coordinator for DVV International’s Integrated Women’s Empowerment Program in Ethiopia. Previously, Mr. Hadera worked as Social and Development Programs Coordinator at the Ethiopian Catholic Church-Adigrat Catholic Secretariat (ADCS), where he managed large-scale development and emergency response projects. Early in his career, he served as a Research Assistant at Mekelle University and an Agricultural Expert with the Bureau of Agriculture and Rural Development in Tigray.

Mr. Hadera’s research focuses on rural development, climate change, food security, gender-responsive development, sustainable management of natural resources, and education and community development.
