Dr. Vijay Bhooshan Kumar has had a distinguished career in both industry and academia. Currently, he serves as a Senior Manager in Advance Engineering at Ashok Leyland, India, where he has been since March 2023. In this role, he is focused on the development of energy storage devices, improving tire performance through nanocarbon compounding, and enhancing the mechanical strength of LNG/CNG brackets.

Before this, Dr. Kumar held a postdoctoral fellowship at Tel Aviv University, Israel, from August 2020 to March 2023. His research there centered on the self-assembly of peptide nanocarriers for cancer drug delivery, bioconjugation with metal-DNA, and the exploration of nano-chem-bio interfaces. Prior to that, he was a Director’s Postdoc Fellow at Los Alamos National Laboratory, USA, from 2018 to 2020, where he worked on developing catalysts for fuel cells, including the synthesis of low platinum group metal (PGM) electrocatalysts and their performance testing in proton exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cells.

Dr. Kumar also served as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Bar-Ilan University, Israel, from 2017 to 2018, focusing on the synthesis of nanomaterials, catalysis, biofuels, and biomedical applications of metal and polymer carbon dots. His foundational research experience was as a Ph.D. researcher at the same institution from 2012 to 2017, where he explored the chemistry of molten metals, the synthesis of nanomaterials, and their applications in catalysis, biofuels, and nanomedicine.
