Mr. Kapil Patil | Cloud Networking | Industry Pioneer Innovation Award

Mr. Kapil Patil is a seasoned technical program manager with extensive experience across various high-profile roles in the tech industry. Currently, as a Principal Technical Program Manager at Oracle in Seattle, WA (September 2023 – Present), he leads a team of network engineers and data scientists to develop a backbone simulator tool, manages a major $5 million+ project to enhance backbone metro capacity, and implements various tracking and forecasting programs to ensure global network demands are met. At Meta (October 2021 – March 2023), Mr. Patil served as a Sr. Technical Program Manager, where he directed a team in revamping network database architecture, led network capacity transformations, and was responsible for roadmap planning and organizing large-scale events. His notable achievements include being awarded the TPMEmmy Best Debutant Award. Previously, at Amazon Web Services (April 2019 – October 2021), Mr. Patil excelled as a Sr. Technical Program Manager, managing teams to scale Amazon’s backbone and edge network services, designing migration strategies, and developing resource allocation models. Earlier roles include serving as a Cloud Support Engineer at AWS (July 2015 – March 2019), where he architected complex network designs and collaborated closely with top enterprise customers. His career began at Netcom Systems (June 2013 – June 2015) as a Network Operations Engineer, where he monitored MPLS WAN links and managed network infrastructure. He also worked as a Network Engineer at Brookfield Asset Management (June 2012 – May 2013).
