Dr. Turnwait Otu Michael is an accomplished researcher and academic recognized for his outstanding contributions to social and medical demography, public health, and gender studies across sub-Saharan Africa. Currently serving as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Johannesburg and a Research Consultant at the Development Research and Projects Centre, Nigeria, he has over a decade of experience in research design, data analysis, monitoring and evaluation, and program implementation. He holds a PhD in Sociology with a specialization in Demography and Population Studies from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, and has conducted impactful research funded by global organizations such as UNICEF, WHO, and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. His scholarly works, exceeding 30 peer-reviewed publications in high-impact journals including PLOS ONE, BMC Women’s Health, and Heliyon, explore themes such as reproductive health, gender-based violence, climate change, and women’s empowerment. A committed academic leader, Dr. Michael is an Academic Editor for PLOS ONE, Associate Editor for BMC Reproductive Health (Springer Nature), and Editorial Board Member for SAGE’s Health Services Insights. His global engagement includes active membership in prestigious associations like the American Sociological Association, Population Association of America, and the International Union for Scientific Study of Population. Dr. Mark Andrew Bonn is an accomplished scholar and educator whose distinguished career in hospitality, tourism, and services management spans more than four decades. Earning his Ph.D. in Recreational Resource Development with a focus on Tourism Marketing and Research from Texas A&M University in 1982, Dr. Bonn has since established himself as a leading figure in academic and applied hospitality research. Serving as The Robert H. Dedman Professor of Services Management at Florida State University’s Dedman School of Hospitality, he has contributed extensively to curriculum development, distance learning, and graduate studies, shaping future leaders in the global hospitality industry. His extensive teaching portfolio includes pioneering courses in hospitality marketing, sustainability, and international cultural studies, reflecting his innovative approach to education. Dr. Bonn’s research has significantly advanced understanding in tourism marketing, consumer behavior, and sustainability, with publications in leading journals such as Cornell Hospitality Quarterly, Journal of Travel Research, and International Journal of Hospitality Management. His outstanding achievements have earned him multiple international honors, including induction into the Florida Tourism Hall of Fame as its first academic scholar, and numerous Best Paper Awards from I-CHRIE and TOSOK conferences. As an editor and reviewer for several prestigious journals, including Sustainability, Cornell Quarterly, and the International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management, Dr. Bonn has played a pivotal role in shaping the direction of hospitality research globally.
