Dr. Turnwait Otu Michael is an accomplished researcher and academic recognized for his outstanding contributions to social and medical demography, public health, and gender studies across sub-Saharan Africa. Currently serving as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Johannesburg and a Research Consultant at the Development Research and Projects Centre, Nigeria, he has over a decade of experience in research design, data analysis, monitoring and evaluation, and program implementation. He holds a PhD in Sociology with a specialization in Demography and Population Studies from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, and has conducted impactful research funded by global organizations such as UNICEF, WHO, and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
